I cannot describe to you the brilliance that is The Summit Prep School. If you ever once thought our school was a traditional school with traditional boring teachers, you were so wrong.
This is how lunch went down today...
We have about an hour for lunch and everyday we get food catered in from local downtown restaurants. So..we all ate for about thirty minutes and then we heard. "All right, who's ready to jam?" my math teacher, Mrs. Bowerman said enthusiastically, holding her ukulele. It was fantastic.
We all spilled out of the Discovery Center, into the park and sat in a circle on a patch of grass. Mrs. Bowerman, me, and another student named Joe (who's apart of The Scribbles) all played our ukuleles while our Science teacher, Mrs. Stroup played the tambourine. Joe played his song from The Scribbles, "The Robot Song" and it was utterly amazing. Then, I taught them a song called "You and I," by Ingrid Michaelson. It was so much fun.
So, before you begin to think we're a normal school...think again.
